Certified surveyors and installers

Flood Professionals is the UK’s first and only flood industry scheme developed in conjunction with BSI (British Standards Institute) to deliver Kitemark certified flood defence survey and installation. The scheme was launched in late 2015.

All scheme members have undergone an industry leading training programme. They are fully conversant with the property survey process and are familiar with all Kitemark certified products on the market. Members are therefore perfectly placed to recommend the best products to suit your circumstances.

The Flood Professionals scheme was developed to ensure homeowners can easily access both approved Kitemark products and certified flood specialists who will survey and install to exacting Kitemark standards.

As part of the Kitemark certification process, Flood Professionals’ businesses must adhere to minimum compliance standards and hold all appropriate insurances to work on your home.

For your added peace of mind, every installation undertaken by a Flood Professional is rigorously tested by a team of impartial  Quality Assessors before being given ‘sign off’.

Once full ‘sign off’ has been obtained, your property’s flood defence installation will be awarded a Flood Professionals Certificate supported by the BSI Kitemark™  that is widely recognised by the UK Insurance Industry.

Your Flood Professionals Certificate is renewable on an annual basis. An annual inspection of your flood mitigation products will need to be undertaken to maintain your property's Kitemark status.
