Are you flood ready? Our guide for January

January is the month of new year’s resolutions – where we all reflect on what we would like to change for the coming year.

As Atlantic storms Dylan and Eleanor recently swept through the UK causing havoc, and winter tightens its grip, the Flood Advisory Service urges communities to reflect on how they can best protect their homes and businesses. To find out more about the products available to protect properties from flood, click here to check out our interactive house.

But it is not just properties that need protecting – we are constantly being reminded by the Met Office and Environment Agency of the dangers associated with storms: from people tempted to take “storm selfies” to driving through flood water or simply walking too close to sea-side promenades during a storm.  All of which have had tragic consequences and are avoidable.  So when you are thinking about your new year’s resolutions, just pay a thought to how you would look after yourself and your loved ones during our winter storms.

And remember, if it is property flood protection that you are resolved to fit this year, do please contact our friendly team for advice, on freephone 0800 970 3950 or email info@floodadvisoryservice.co.uk.

The Flood Advisory Services wishes you a very happy new year – and a “dry January” in more ways than one!
