Flood Advisory Service at Tadcaster "Be Safe in Your Community" Event

Sunday 15th October

11am - 3pm

Riley Smith Hall, Tadcaster

Following the success of last year’s flood awareness event, Tadcaster Flood Action Group hosted “Be safe in your community” on Sunday 15th October. The event was held at the Riley Smith Hall in Tadcaster.

This year, as well as Flood Resilience, there was the addition of some new elements to the event including Crime Prevention, Home Safety, First Aid & CPR Training and Water Safety.

The aim of the event was to show the community how they can help themselves reduce risks in both home and businesses, and bring awareness to different organisations that are available to help.

Flood Advisory Service was on hand to provide free, independent advice on flood risk and the solutions available to protect your property.

The event was featured on ITV News, here: http://www.itv.com/news/calendar/2017-10-15/flood-safety-day-returns-at-yorkshire-town-that-was-divided-by-boxing-day-floods-of-2015/
