Pang Valley Flood Forum

Pang Valley Flood Forum, in conjunction with the Pangbourne Flood Group, held a Flood Fair on the 10th November 2016 at Pangbourne Village Hall, from 4pm to 8pm.

The Flood Advisory Service was on hand to give advice on what you can do to protect your home from flooding.

There was also representatives from Flood Re, the Government and insurance industry initiative, on hand to answer flood insurance queries. A number of companies displayed Flood Risk Reduction products to help protect your home. This ranged from airbrick covers, to modern alternatives to sandbags, plus flood gates and doors.

The Pang Valley area was extremely lucky last year. Had the weather fronts been further South, it might have experienced some of the awful flooding that affected counties such as Cumbria!
