The Flood Advisory Service Roadshow stopped off in Whitby last week, Thursday 28th January.

Representatives from Scarborough Council and the Town Mayor, Cllr. Ms Heather Coughlan, joined us to offer local residents advice on flood risk and mitigation solutions.

Sarah Marriott, Managing Director of Flood Advisory Service, was interviewed by Yorkshire Coast Radio, you can read an article on their website here.

Cllr. Ms Heather Coughlan, Whitby Town Mayor, & Kelly Merriman, FAS

“I’m delighted to have the Flood Advisory here in Whitby on the 28th January. Their 42ft trailer has loads of free information and advice for local residents. It will certainly help to spread the message of flood mitigation. It’s important that we get as much advice out to people as possible and this is a superb way of doing that.  It’s a great opportunity and I urge you to go along and take advantage of this free help.”
