Flood Advisory Service in Leeds

Following the recent storms, over 2,200 properties were flooded in Leeds, so the Flood Advisory Service brought our Roadshow to the city centre, alongside a Flood Fair organised by Leeds City Council and Garforth Flood Support Group, last week, 19th – 21st January.

FAS managing director Sarah Marriott said: “It was clear as the flooding situation in Leeds unfolded, [we were] perfectly placed to provide the information, advice and support the community was looking for. It only took a phone call to Leeds City Council and they, along with Garforth Flood Support Group, wasted no time in making arrangements. This is a great example of how when we all work together we can achieve a common goal.”

We were joined on board by West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, offering local residents advice about flood risk & mitigation solutions. Click here to read an article about their support of the roadshow.
