Flood Advisory Service in Carlisle

The Flood Advisory Service roadshow visited Carlisle City Centre last week, Tuesday 2nd - Saturday 6th Feb.

We were welcomed by the City Centre Manager for Carlisle, and hundreds of visitors from the city and surrounding areas came to see us over the course of the 5 day event.

We were pleased to welcome local MP John Stevenson on board the trailer, which parked at Market Cross in the city centre. The roadshow was also featured on BBC Look North.

Storm Desmond caused devastating floods in Decemebr 2015, with huge parts of the city underwater.

"I would like to give a big thank you to you and your team for taking the time to explain and demonstrate the many flood products that are available on the market with the BSI standard. I found you all really patient, friendly and informative and felt that you really were there to help me with our situation. It was helpful to see the flood products and see how they differ from standard alternatives, and to be able to take away documentation to further research their value."
