Bradford Metropolitan District Council

“We were impressed with the enthusiasm, professionalism and sheer hard work that the FAS put in to supporting us. We worked very well together to carefully choose the times and venues for the roadshows and to publicise them as far and wide as possible, leafleting every affected household and displaying posters and banners in public places. The FAS issued a joint press release which tried to make sure everyone in the district was aware of the roadshows, whether or not they were affected this time by the flooding, because it was important for as many people as possible to have the opportunity to seek help and advice if they needed it.

The roadshows themselves were very well staged and very impressive. FAS staff were very knowledgeable, approachable and professional and the Council made sure we had as many staff present to help residents discuss grant applications and processes or indeed any other flooding issues. We thought it was vital to have a presence at the roadshow and for it to be a collaborative event and cannot stress how important this proved to be – and it was clearly appreciated by residents.”
